Portofex is a trade coordination house based in Lingen (Ems) in Lower Saxony — two hours from Rotterdam and three from Hamburg.
Why this corridor
Two markets that need each other
On one side are European manufacturers and merchants with goods, standards and capacity — and limited experience of how a transaction into Syria actually comes about. On the other are Syrian buyers and processors with concrete requirements and clear expectations.
Both sides lose time in the same place: verification. Who is the other side, really? Who manufactures what is needed here, and to which standard? And which of the quotations that come back is actually comparable with which?
Portofex exists to answer those questions properly.
